Lucy Sweater is a classic raglan-style sweater worked seamlessly from the top down in back-and-forth rows. This means you can try it on as you go and add length to suit your own personal style!
After the raglan increases are completed, a few short rows are worked to raise the back and give an excellent fit to the sweater. The body and sleeves are worked in the round and finished separately. Depending on your personal style, you can choose whether to make it wide sleeves or classic sleeves with ribbed edges.
In this pattern you will find written instructions and many video tutorials attached that will help you in the most important steps.
Sizes
XS, (S), M, (L), XL, (XXL), to fit a bust circumference of: 80 – 85; (85 – 90); 90 – 95; (95 – 100); 100 – 110; (110 – 120) cm; 31 ½ - 33 ½; (33½ - 35½); 35½ - 37½; (37½ - 39½); 39½ - 43¼; (43¼ - 47¼) inches.
Finished measurements (after wet blocking)
Circumference: 90, (95), 100, (105), 110, (120) cm.
Length (in the mid back): 53, (53), 56, (56), 59, (59) cm.
Designed to be worn with approx. 8 cm of positive ease.
Gauge
10 x 10 cm = 22 sts x 11 rows with 4.5 mm hook in stitch pattern.
Hooks and tools
3.5 mm, 4 mm and 4.5 mm, or size needed to meet gauge;
You will also need scissors, some removable stitch markers, a measuring tape and tapestry needle.
Yarn
1200, 1200, 1500, 1500, 1800, 1800 meters of sport weight yarn or any other yarn that allows you to obtain the correct gauge.
The green Lucy Sweater with wide sleeves is shown in size S and made with sport weight warn. I used 4 skeins of Sport from LITLG 100 % Superwash Merino (100 g/300 m)
The striped Lucy Sweater with ribbed edges is shown in size M and made with merino wool (DK weight)-50g/125 m. For this version I used 5 balls of green, 5 balls of white and 1 ball of grey.
