The Aurora cardigan is worked from the top down with back and forth rows. The work starts at the neck and gradually increases are made until the desired yoke size is reached. Then you work in the body with back and forth rows until you reach the desired length. All edges are delicately finished. For all the most important steps you will find many exclusive video tutorials attached on the last page of the pattern.
This pattern uses US crochet terminology!
SIZES : S, M, L, (XL, XXL)
The sizes S, M, L (XL, XL ) are designed to fit a bust circumference of 85 – 90 ; 90 – 95; 95 – 100; (100 – 110 , 110 – 120) cm, 33½ - 35½ ; 35½ - 37½; 37½ -39½ ,(39 ½ - 43 ¼ ; 43¼-47¼) inches.
GAUGE: 10 × 10 cm = 15 sts × 12 R in pattern.
HOOK : nr 6 mm (J) , or the hook number that allows you to get the right sample.
You will also need: scissors, tapestry needle and some stitch markers.
YARN : 400,450,500,550,600 gr of worsted weight yarn (1 ball 50 gr/100m). You can use baby merino wool like Peo 30 from Silke, alternatively Cable 4 cotton by Silke (1 ball 100 gr/200 m). The amount of yarn could vary if you decide to make it longer. The pattern indicates the estimated quantity for a cardigan with ¾ sleeves.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS (chest circumference): approx 86, 92, 98, 104, 110 cm (33 ¾ ; 36 ¼ ; 38 ½ ; 41; 43 ¼ inches).
